Cinnamon Toast Crunch Popcorn – copycat

I’ve noticed this new treat in the stores and couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw that it was being sold on the black market (lol jk it’s eBay) for 2 or 3 times the original price. The issue is that it’s full of calories and we can’t really afford that with all our resolutions and such…

Cinnamon Toast Crunch Popcorn

A seven-ounce bag of this sweet treat costs around $3 at Walmart, but I’ve seen other sizes listed on Amazon for almost $30! It looks tasty, but I know it’s packed with a bunch of sugar and calories so I decided I would try to make a healthier version of this at home.

Same treat, a lot less calories!

Have you ever asked yourself, how many calories are in a package of Pop Secret popcorn? The answer is about 90. The serving suggestion of 1 cup of popped kernels is estimated at 30 calories. In comparison, the 130 calories in Cinnamon Toast Crunch Popcorn seems really bad!

For this recipe you will need:

Equipment:

  • Microwave
  • Wok, large pan (optional)

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal
  • 1 package of Pop Secret Popcorn

Basic Steps

I just love our popcorn buckets. They are perfect for creating the movie theatre atmosphere at home these days. Did you know that popcorn at the movie theater will cost you between 8 and 12 dollars?! If you’re looking for some cute reusable popcorn buckets, these are currently on sale!
