I was recently contacted by KaTom Restaurant Supply Inc. about an award they are developing. After watching their video of what they hope to do with this award, I really felt compelled to share it with my readers.
“The restaurant equipment award, for deserving aspiring woman of food.” is the idea of KaTom’s owner, who found herself suddenly in charge of her husband’s company after becoming a widow. She chose to continue the work her husband started because of the families who depended on the income from the company.
The award will eventually be issued to women who are starting up food related businesses and are in need of a little help. KaTom will donate restaurant equipment or assist financially for the new business owner to purchase what they need for their business. I find this to be so inspiring, and it will definitely be life changing for many women in the future.
