All-American Summer Fest | Miller’s Ale House

This post is brought to you by Miller’s Ale House. All opinions are my own.

We recently visited Miller’s Ale House to try their All-American Summer Fest menu and it was such a blast. I can’t wait to go back so I can get another Watermelon Rita. Keep reading this post to see how you can, too!  Continue reading

Basil Cashew Chicken Salad

Basil Cashew Chicken Salad

A few years ago, when I worked for a telecommunications company located just outside of College Park, I really loved to grab lunch at a little place called Roly Poly. This will sound way cheesy, but it was there that I fell in love with the #30 (also known as their Basil Cashew Chicken salad cold rolled sandwich).

Mama B's

Mama B’s

You know how there are people out there that don’t do much to try and impress others? They just do their own thing, don’t make a big fuss about themselves, and somehow they are well liked by their neighbors and end up with a lot of friends without really trying! Well the place I’m reviewing today, Mama B’s Giant Subs, is a lot like that. Continue reading

Lechonera Latina

Recently I had family visiting and needed to have enough food for 10 people. Even though I love cooking and was happy to see them after a few years, it was not good timing for my kitchen. Continue reading

As someone who makes pretty amazing ribs myself, I am quite the picky rib eater at restaurants.

Sonic Drive-in Disappointment

It is said that if you expect too much, you are likely to be disappointed and my experience with Sonic’s Brownie Molten Cake Sundae did just that. Continue reading

Jimmy Hula’s

Jimmy Hula’s is a burger joint with radical toppings in each of their specialty burgers. The atmosphere is very relaxed and the whole place is decorated to feel like a
hut on a tropical resort. There are surf boards and stickers on the brightly colored walls. The booth seats are like rear seats of cars with bright colors upholstery. There are a couple locations, both near me in Central Florida.

The burger I love and always have at Jimmy Hula’s is the BURNT REYNOLDS which is topped with a fried Egg, American Cheese, Bacon, Lays Chips, Lettuce, and Ketchup. And it is AMAZING.

With all those toppings you would be more than satisfied, but I also like to add CAJUN FRIES (mmm!)

If you have never gone, you really really should go. I promise you will not regret this place and it’ll become a new favorite. Please keep in mind that I am not being paid or receive any benefits to say this to you – I just really love their burgers.

P.S. This may seem unimportant, but Jimmy Hula’s serve their soft drinks in a styrofoam cup with *CRUSHED* ice.

Are there any local burger places you really like? Do you think they are better than Jimmy Hula’s? If so, let me know so I can go too!

The location for my most recent visit was on Aloma, but I’ve also been to the UCF area location and it is just as good.
