Hey guys! I Hope you are doing awesome! Today’s recipe is something I put together based on an early morning craving. I’m calling this my Creamy Papaya Sorbet Recipe, which sounds fancy but is super fast and easy to make.
This recipe was a happy accident.
We have a wonderful friend who keeps a garden and shares all types of goodies with us. About a month ago, we were blessed with some carambola, or what a lot of people refer to as startfruit. Continue reading
Now that I am eating solid foods again, I’m glad I can use my favorite salad packing bowl.
The (green) insert doubles as an ice pack that keeps everything inside cold. There is also a container that fits in the center for my dressing.

The Chile Cashews are so good. I roasted these for about 8 minutes and then tossed them in a mixture of salt, pepper, Chile flakes, and vegetable oil.
…I think I might need to start making recipe cards for download on here for you.

I’ve been feeling a little health conscious these days. Planning meals (lunches especially) has become a bit of a hobby. Here’s what a sample lunch looks like for me these days. The nutritional information is below in case anyone was wondering – not sure how healthy it really is. But it’s good 🙂
The nutritional information was gathered by using Sparkpeople.com – a weight loss/healthy social networking website I’ve been part of since 2007.
Want to know how many calories you ate today? Use this quick search!
I encourage you to logon and find me ZULAIKAH – the site is really easy to use and has SO MANY resources as well as trackers to help you learn what to do and what not to do. The most important feature of Sparkpeople to me is the social feature in which you find so many people who are motivating and friendly – wanting only your support in return.
This year for Father’s Day I baked a simple cake to share with the family. It had two layers, was covered with cream cheese frosting and banana slices (the middle also had bananas). I personally love to use fruit to sweeten cakes – my favorite to use are strawberries (see an older post with an example of this).
I hope you and your family have a great Father’s Day!
