Recently, while shopping at Publix I saw this really cool Greek medley of stuff and I thought it would be perfect to toss over a salad.
I really do love salad, but it can get boring if you don’t mix it up. So even though this salad is high in sodium and contains some cheese, I think it’s a great alternative if you want to change things up with your salad.
Greek Style Salad
So what makes a Greek Style Salad? Greek salads usually have feta cheese, red peppers, black olives, oil, and onions among other things (but I don’t care for raw onions so my recipe leaves that out). I am really kicking myself right now because I forgot to take a photo of the packaging and I have since used it all up. The good news is the recipe below will have all the ingredients to put it together. I found in the Wikipedia page for Greek salad that in Tampa Bay they put potato salad in Greek salad and that sounds pretty gross (to me)! So keep that in mind if you are ever visiting there.
This salad would be great to pair with lasagna or any pasta night. I would even top a garlic toasted baguette with this stuff, and now that I’m thinking of it my mouth is actually watering!
I hope you enjoy this greek style salad recipe and please do let me know what you think of it if you give it a try!
