You need this flatbread pizza recipe in your life

I have never met someone who doesn’t like pizza. I am pretty sure the main reason for that is because you can pick and choose toppings that you like and then it perfectly suits you.

Flatbread Pizza Recipe

So instead of ordering the greasy stuff from my favorite pizza place (there are actually a few I like near me), I made this tasty flatbread pizza recipe the other day.

Pizza isn’t healthy. Lots of bread means lots of calories, and I’ve been really trying to use those carefully each day. Sure I still go to Starbucks a couple times a week (including this morning), but I traded my chai for the nonfat version (baby steps people!).

I had it for lunch and it was very filling.

Using SparkPeople’s Recipe Calculator, I figured that each serving of my flatbread pizza recipe is about 125 calories. My recipe is meant for 2 servings, but even if you decided to eat it all yourself 250 isn’t too bad for a meal.

My favorite recipes are those you can change up based on your taste. This is why I really love making flatbread pizzas.

I just grabbed a few veggies I was in the mood for and prepped the pizza in just a couple of minutes.

You can eat this cold or bake it in the oven until the cheese is melted.

Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cover a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Place flatbread onto baking sheet. Spoon tomato sauce onto center and spread out, leaving about an inch around the flatbread without sauce. Add all your toppings.
  3. Bake for 6-8 minutes, or until cheese is melted (this step is optional as you can eat it cold, too).
  4. Remove from the oven and let it set for about 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
