A recipe round-up for National Hot Dog Day

National Hot Dog Day recipes

In celebration of National Hot Dog Day, I’m sharing a recipe round-up of some yummy recipes to try today!

National Hot Dog Day

I had to put this one on top because Coney Island is so close to my heart. I remember spending summers with my grandmother in Brooklyn and getting the opportunity to eat hot dogs on Coney Island after riding the carnival rides. It was just so perfect along with the view of the water. Nothing compares to a visit to New York – honestly, there’s so much to see. Anyhow, this recipe by Deborah really helped me to taste all of those memories again and for that, I am very grateful!

This recipe from The Slow Roasted Italian is a bit more involved because you make the pretzel dough, but there’s a video and it’s so simple. I never regret making my own dough because the house smells delicious and as Donna notes, does not compare to anything store-bought.

I’ve never been to Seattle, but after seeing this recipe, boy would I like to! It’s definitely on my bucket list after reading Trevor and Jennifer’s blog. My favorite parts are the caramelized onions and jalapeño peppers!

I’ve always been a fan of cheese-filled hot dogs and this recipe by Maegan really brings that up a notch by combining two favorites – grilled cheese sandwiches and hot dogs! Check out her recipe for a fun spin this National Hot Dog Day.

This recipe for homemade hot dog sauce by Pamela is SO good! I highly recommend following her recipe and allowing the hour and a half if possible to ensure the truest delicious taste.

I actually have a whole Pinterest board I’ve been collecting since July is National Hot Dog month! Check it out and follow it here:
