Halloween Crafts 2012

Jazlynn and me

I’ve already said this before – I’m all about holidays, crafts, and decorating. I’m already excited that Thanksgiving is next. Which I think is the best family holiday. Everyone gets together and are all ready to eat and enjoy time together, AND we get to put our Christmas tree up! I really can’t wait.

On Saturday, I took Jazlynn to this cute place on Lake Picket. She got to ride a pony, go on a hay ride, play with children her age and we picked out our pumpkins. (Update: photos below now)

Last night, Jazlynn and I carved our pumpkins. We had a lot of fun. I printed a few patterns from the internet to give us ideas. Jazlynn drew the face on a sheet of paper and I recreated it on the pumpkin and carved it out for her. She was only allowed to hollow out the pumpkin (safety first!), but was really excited once it was lit up. This is Jazlynn’s first year of pumpkin carving (she’s 4).

Here’s a short video of Jazlynn at work 🙂

I would love to see your Jack-O-Lanterns. Comment with the link or send me a tweet @zoolsterr and tag it with #JACKoLANTERN

  • The above location is having a great event on the weekend before Halloween (27/28) with bounce houses, pony rides, hay rides, face painting, and other fun stuff. Pricing information is on the link above. (I was not paid – in any way – to promote this place, I just liked it).
