Chocolate cake

Have you ever baked a cake that looked so good you didn’t want to frost it?

Well this happened to me with this chocolate cake. To make it I used a Super Moist brand white cake mix and added cocoa and shredded coconut. I was in the mood. It didn’t bake as moist as I’d hoped, but I’m certain it is due to overmixing (I probably should have added some more oil, too).

The frosting I did end up using was some extra my mother in law made a few days ago. She made too much for her Easter cupcakes last week and didn’t want to let it go to waste.

The cake itself kinda reminds my of a Devil Dog. Well I’ve got our chocolate fix for the week.
