My go-to breakfast

It’s really hard for me not to think breakfast in the morning takes too much time.

But breakfast is really such an important meal. I have honestly found starting my day on the right track has helped me make better food decisions throughout the day.

Easy Oatmeal

Quick and easy breakfast prepped and ready to eat in 3 minutes - for real!


  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 1/2 cup milk (or water)
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp chopped walnuts (if desired)


  1. Combine ingredients in a microwave safe bowl (or mug!).
  2. Cook for 2 minutes in microwave.
  3. Add chopped walnuts (or desired toppings) and enjoy!


13 grams protein, 15 grams of sugar, 42 carbs.


I love battling the texture of oatmeal with a crunch like chopped walnuts, but the possibilities for additions is really endless. Try: diced apples, raisins, granola, cranberries, strawberries, or bananas.
